About this instrument
This one is currently in the Key Works workshop. Like every instrument we sell, it will be fully serviced, adjusted and regulated before it goes on sale, then play tested so we know it's ready to go straight from the case. More photos will be added here once it's finished.
Evette is the student line from Buffet Crampon, the French maker best known for its professional clarinets, and it brings a lot of that experience to an affordable first saxophone. The gold lacquered body and keys give a warm, rounded tone and a smart finish, and the mother-of-pearl key touches sit comfortably under the fingers. The keywork is laid out much like a professional saxophone, so the habits a player builds now carry straight over when it's time to step up, and the free-blowing response makes it easy for beginners to get a good sound early on.
