Yamaha YFL-372 Flute
A trusted intermediate step-up flute, built with a solid silver headjoint for a richer, more responsive tone as playing develops.
About this instrument
This instrument has been fully serviced, meaning it's ready to play straight out of the case, with smooth key action and reliable pad seals. It's a natural next step once a player has outgrown a student model, with a fuller, more flexible tone to grow into.
The headjoint is solid sterling silver (925), which gives a noticeably warmer, more colourful sound than a plated headjoint, with a quicker, more responsive feel under the embouchure. The body and keys are silver-plated, keeping the look consistent while the silver headjoint does the work of shaping the tone. The open-hole keys encourage precise finger placement and allow for pitch-bending and other extended techniques as a player's technique develops, and the instrument comes with a set of plugs so they can be filled in while that technique is still being built up. The split E mechanism makes the high E easier to produce cleanly, and the offset G key sits in a more natural hand position for comfort over longer playing sessions. The C foot keeps the flute compact and well balanced in the hand.
Condition
Good condition throughout, with no plating wear. Some light surface scratches are visible in the photos, consistent with normal use.
